P'unk Avenue, a purpose-driven web design and development firm, is opening up our apprentice lessons to the public. We'll be offering various introductory courses geared towards beginner to intermediate front-end developers.
"Introduction to Layout" is an hour-and-a-half course that provides an advanced introduction to how the broswer renders HTML and CSS to layout a webpage. You can expect to learn the box model, the browser flow, and the dark, stormy corners of CSS.
This lesson's lecturer, Matt McManus, is a full-stack developer at P'unk Avenue. A graduate of Drexel University, Matt's skill range from beautiful web designs to full-fledged application development and server management. Matt can often be found writing open source projects that make other developers' lives easier. Matt's thoughtfulness about process and progamming have made him a thought leader on P'unk Avenue's development team.
